HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani met Tuesday at his office with Spain's Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade Affairs Jaime Garcia Legaz and his accompanying delegation.
Discussions during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations between the two countries and aspects of joint cooperation, notably in economic, trade and investment fields and ways of further developing them .
It is to be mentioning that the trade exchange between the two countries totaled in 2014 to nearly QR 6.2 billion and Spain is considered as a trade partner No. 16 to the State of Qatar.
Qatari exports to Spain are valued at nearly QR 5 billion , representing in oil and gas products, plastics and its articles thereof, fertilizers, organic chemicals, aluminum and its articles thereof, while its imports valued nearly QR1.2 billion.
The most important imports are representing in articles of iron and steel, furniture , prefabricated buildings, electronics , electrical equipment, articles of leather and clothing.
