Prime Minister Sherif Ismail & Minister of Agriculture Abdel Men'em el Banna

Prime Minister Sherif Ismail has called for outlining short and long-term plans to develop animal and poultry wealth in Egypt to better meet demands of the local market.

In a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture Abdel Men'em el Banna Sunday night, Ismail said the plans should help strike a balance between supply and demand.

This, he noted, would sure contribute to reducing prices.

The agriculture minister reviewed a comprehensive report on measures taken to offer loans to breeders at a soft interest rate of five percent to be paid over one year maximum.

The loans will be beneficial to young breeders, farmers and fresh graduates, the minister added.
