Washington - MENA
Unemployment is the biggest economic and social challenge facing young people in the Middle East, Egyptian International Cooperation Minister Sahr Nasr said on Friday.
In a speech to a high-level session of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Nasr said that strategies adopted by governments to face unemployment will never succeed unless as part of a general economic development policy.
The minister noted that Egypt has recently adopted a sustainable development strategy to start an ambitious economic and social reform program.
She said that the Egyptian government program focuses on supporting the most needy classes.
