Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab met on Saturday with Sheikh Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Aibrahim, the deputy chairman of the company that owns Le Meridien hotel.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of trade and industry and tourism and the Cairo governor and company officials.
During the meeting, Mahlab asserted the importance of making use of and developing the hotel.
He also stressed the necessity of protecting the building that has a high heritage value and is considered one of the cultural features of Cairo.
