Beirut - MENA
Lebanese ministers of industry, economy and agriculture have urged cooperation with Egypt noting it is a main objective of the government in Lebanon.
Addressing a forum organized by the Egyptian ambassador to Lebanon Badreddin Zayed on developing bilateral ties, the ministers agreed on the need to boost cooperation between the two Arab countries.
Badreddin said tri-partite cooperation between Egypt, Lebanon and African countries to export Egyptian products to West Africa via a Lebanese businessman is an example of cooperation.
It is top priority for Egypt to strengthen ties with Lebanon and other Arab countries, he noted.
The economic growth rates after the mega projects and natural gas discovery will have positive impact on the economic cooperation between Egypt and Lebanon, the ambassador said.
Minister of Industry Husayn al-Hajj Hasan said political stability in Egypt is for Arabs in general and not only Egyptians.
Lebanese medicines need to be registered in Egypt to allow export of such medicines to the Egyptian market, he said, adding that Lebanon cannot beat the low production costs in Egypt.
