Jordan and Germany, on Wednesday signed two technical and financial assistance agreements worth 193 million Euros to support a number of German government-sponsored development-oriented projects in Jordan.
The deals were signed by Jordanian Planning Minister Ibrahim Saif and German Ambassador to Jordan Ralph Tarraf.
Under the deals, the German government will offer 155 million Euros in soft loans; 15 million Euros in grants and 23 million Euros technical assistance grants. The funds will be used to fund projects in areas of water and sewage, climate change, solid waste treatment and supporting local communities hosting Syrian refugees.
They also signed 10 million Euro grant deal to fund a water pipeline project serving communities hosting Syrian refugees.
Germany provided Jordan with 790 million Euros from 2002 through 2014.
