Cairo - MENA
International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr said on Sunday that her ministry pumped 5.1 billion dollars into the state budget during the period from September 2015 to October 2016.
The ministry signed agreements worth 12.1 billion dollars during the same period, Nasr told the parliament's economic affairs committee.
All under-negotiation deals have social and developmental dimensions, she stressed, noting that coordination is underway with several bodies to assess the rate of poverty nationwide.
Answering a question about the loan agreement with the International Monetary Fund, Nasr said just the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) governor and the finance minister are tasked with negotiating with the IMF and outlining Egypt's monetary policy.
