Donkeys that were confiscated from a farm in Fayyoum were sold at 10 pounds for each, according to a three-member committee from the supply ministry.

The farm's owner said in interrogations that he delivered donkey meat to feed lions of the national circus.

Videos of butchered donkeys have triggered rumors that their meat are delivered to famous restaurants in Cairo.

The owner denied these allegations.
