Cairo - MENA
The cabinet said Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab was keen on attending Monday's trading session of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
"His participation showed the governments' support to the capital market system as its important role for the Egyptian economy," the cabinet said in a statement.
Mahlab rang the opening bell of the trading session.
At the bourse, the premier asserted the government will take any decision that will help boost the economy.
The economic ministerial committee is working to improve the performance of the bourse, Mahlab said.
