Egyptian Church handed UAE development projects

The Egyptian Orthodox Church on Thursday was handed over a number of development projects carried out by the United Arab Emirates in the Egyptian governorates of Cairo, Minya and Ismailia.

The UAE has established an Egyptian-Coptic arts center and equipped and finished a hospital in Cairo, built a Coptic Orthodox school in Minya and prepared an orphanage in Ismailia to serve the Egyptian Church.

Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese, UAE Minister of State and head of the coordinative office of the UAE development projects in Egypt Sultan al-Jaber and Egypt's International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr attended the hand-over ceremony.
