Egypt and Sudan signed in Khartoum a memorandum of understanding that aims to foster relations in the fields of petroleum, natural gas and petrochemical and mineral industries.
In exclusive statements to MENA on Thursday, Chairman of the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA) Omer Taima described the current visit of a delegation from the Petroleum Ministry to Sudan as "successful".
He added that the two countries agree on exchanging expertise and modern technology used in the petroleum and petrochemical fields.
The memo is considered a prelude to signing a cooperation protocol between the two Arab countries, Taima added.
Meanwhile, Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan Osama Shaltout underlined Egyptian and Sudanese leaderships' support to all joint projects that aim to achieve sustainable development to the Egyptian and Sudanese peoples.
