Sanaa - MENA
The Yemeni government is keen on rescuing the country's economy from a disaster caused by the armed militias, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Yemen Abdul Malek Al Mekhlafi.
Thirty seven ships loaded with goods and fuel have been allowed to enter into Yemen, Al Mekhlafi wrote on Twitter.
The remarks came after a call by the UN special envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed for an economic rescue plan for Yemen.
"I propose the establishment of an economic rescue authority as soon as possible to save the Yemeni economy from deterioration," the envoy said.
