Damietta Port on Monday received eight vessels, including four container ships and four cargo ships, spokesman for Damietta Port Authority Mamdouh el Sheity said in a statement.

Also, four container ships and five cargo ships left the port, he added.

There are 22 ships outside the port waiting to finalize their entry documents, the spokesman said.

The grain silo at the port contains a stock of 35,000 tons of wheat, he added.
