Damietta Port

Chairman of Damietta Port Authority Ayman Saleh said that executive steps have been taken to turn the port into a world logistic port.

The news measures include shrinking the stevedoring period from six to two hours in addition to deepening the anchorage passage to 16 meters for the port to be able to receive giant ships, Saleh said in a statement on Friday.

There are also plans to establish an international logistic center for trading cereals in addition to the new furniture city, he said.

He stressed that the general atmosphere in Egypt encourages investments, he said.
