The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) says it is paying big attention to small and medium-sized enterprises (SME)s.
A CBE statement issued Tuesday pointed to an initiative by the bank to fund small companies and facilities.
According to a CBE definition the size of business of macro-sized companies should not reach one million pounds.
Very small enterprises range from one million pounds to less than 10 million, the CBE said.
Small-sized firms range from 10 million pounds to less than 20 million, whereas medium-sized projects range from 20 million pounds to less than 100 million, the statement added.
