First Deputy Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Khalid Al Zayani, has lauded the cabinet on endorsing the flexible work permit scheme, describing it as a prominent step to revamping and reforming the Bahraini labour market.

Al Zayani underlined the expected outcomes of the scheme, which is to be implemented next year.

He hailed the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA)’s initiative to involve BCCI in developing the scheme. 

“The flexible work permit will reform the labour market and protect the rights of all parties involved,” he said.
