Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa

A number of projects and agreements will be inked during the anticipated visit of Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa to Egypt, Head of Egypt-Bahrain Business Council said.

In statements to MENA, Engineer Mohammed al Sweedy said that the cooperation protocols will be in the medical and land reclamation fields.

The Bahraini delegation accompanying the king seeks to get acquainted with investment opportunities in Egypt and regulations in this respect, Sweedy added.

Another economic delegation will pay a visit to the Suez Canal axis where they will hold meetings with officials of the General Investment Authority and Tourism Development Authority (TDA), he stated.

Sweedy further said that the Egyptian-Bahraini businessmen forum will be held on Tuesday to discuss bilateral cooperation projects.

Bahraini investments in Egypt are worth 955 million dollars, as of August 2015, with 173 companies operating, according to a report by General Authority For Investment and Free Zones (GAFI).
