Alexandria - MENA
Alexandria and Dekheila straits continued to be closed on Tuesday for the fifth day in a row due to high waves and strong winds, said the Alexandria Port Authority.
The closure decision was taken to avoid any collision between ships and to guarantee safe navigation, authority head Medhat Attia said.
Meanwhile, the rainfall continued in Alexandria, leaving ponds of rainwater in the streets. Vacuum trucks rushed to the streets to remove the water.
