Alexandria Port Authority on Saturday decided to close Alexandria and Dekheila ports due to bad weather and high wind velocity.

The decision is meant to prevent any collision of ships, said chairman of the Alexandria Port Authority Medhat Attiya.

Alexandria has been hit by high winds and heavy rains since Friday.

The authorities are also on high alert ahead of a seven-day rainy gale that will be accompanied by strong winds.
