The Alexandria Port Authority announced Wednesday the continued closure of the Alexandria and Dekheila ports for the second day running due to bad weather.

The decision was made for the safety of maritime navigation and human lives due to the strong winds, high waves and heavy rains.

The port has raised the level of alert in anticipation of climate changes and the crisis operation room is to work around the clock to receive any notifications.
