Cairo - MENA
The Agriculture Ministry said that the Principal Bank for Development and Agricultural Credit (PBDAC) and the Supply Ministry have received around 4.729 million tons of wheat from farmers in all governorates, so far.
The import process is still ongoing, said Agriculture Minister Essam Fayed in a statement Monday.
Import centers are not overfilled with wheat, Fayed assured, pointing to a recent decision by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail to open all silos across Egypt to receive wheat supplies from farmers.
