A total of 242.133 million cubic meters of water-saturated sand have so far been lifted at the New Suez Canal project, the new canal daily report said.

The figure represents 92.86 percent of the targeted 258 million cubic meters that should be dredged.

About 35 dredgers are deployed at the water way, the report said.
