A vessel carrying 34,000 tons of wheat arrived at Alexandria Port on Saturday.

Alexandria Port Authority's spokesman Reda el Ghandour said the wheat shipment came from Ukraine, adding that all procedures were taken to unload it.

Samples were taken to make sure the wheat cargo is fit for human consumption, he noted.
