Thirty-four ships, with a total cargo of 1.6 million tons, transited the Suez Canal on Tuesday.

The south-bound convoy included 17 vessels carrying 825,000 tons, while the north-bound convoy included 17 ships carrying 837,000 tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
