The General Authority for Roads, Bridges and Land Transport has allocated 180 million pounds to renovate and develop the western desert road in Aswan. In press statements on Friday, Secretary General of Aswan governorate Mohamed Mostafa said the money will be used to pave 70 kilometers of the road. The paved road should start from Fares village in Kom Ombo to el Ghanimiya area in Edfu, he said. A committee from the Faculty of Engineering has been formed to review and fix technical defects along the road, he added.
