A female Indian diplomat was strip-searched and held with other detainees after she was arrested last week, a US law enforcement agency confirmed Tuesday. Asked whether deputy consular general Devyani Khobragade had been strip-searched after her arrest, the US Marshals Service (USMS) replied in a statement "yes," adding she had been "subject to the same search procedures as other USMS arrestees held within the general prisoner population in the Southern District of New York."
