A young Israeli was critically wounded in a stabbing in Tel Aviv Monday, medics said, with police saying the attacker was believed to be a Palestinian from the West Bank.
Police spokeswoman Luba Samri said the attacker was "apparently a Palestinian, staying illegally in Israel, from the area around Nablus" in the northern West Bank.
Emergency services spokesman Zaki Heller said a man of about 20 was "very seriously hurt" in the stabbing outside HaHagana train station, where footage from the scene showed medics trying to revive a man lying in pools of blood.
