A tepid recovery in the 17-nation eurozone slowed in the third quarter, with powerhouse Germany coming off the pace and France hit by a surprise contraction, official data showed Thursday. The eurozone economy grew 0.1 percent in the three months to September after a gain of 0.3 percent in the previous quarter, with Germany up only 0.3 percent and France shrinking 0.1 percent, the Eurostat statistics agency said.
