Britain's economy is forecast to grow faster than previously expected this year and next, finance minister George Osborne said in a budget update on Wednesday ahead of next year's general election.
Gross domestic product is set to grow by 3.0 percent in 2014 and by 2.4 percent in 2015, upgraded from the government's previous forecasts of 2.7 percent and 2.3 percent, Osborne told parliament.
