Beware of a tendency to be argumentative. When you disagree with somebody, it's better to hear them out before contradicting them. Giving the appearance of being open-minded is critical to your reputation. You may totally write off everything a foolish person says, but you shouldn't let your feelings be publicly known. There is a good chance the people around you will choose to back a flawed plan. If this happens, remain silent and go about your business. You'll soon be asked to salvage the disaster.
