Jailed opposition member Reza Hoda Saber, who went on hunger strike on June 2, has died of a heart attack, Iranian opposition website Kaleme.com reported on Sunday. \"Security forces on Friday transferred him from Evin prison to Modarres hospital due to cardiac complication induced by his hunger strike,\" the website said. \"But the damage of the cardiac complication ... was too severe.\" Hoda Saber\'s sister, speaking to ISNA news agency, said she had \"identified the body at the hospital.\" The journalist in his 50s went on hunger strike to protest the death of Haleh Sahabi, daughter of a veteran Iranian opposition figure, during the funeral of her father, according to Kaleme.com. Sahabi, 54 a political and social activist, died of cardiac arrest on June 1 when she was confronted by security forces during the funeral of her father, Ezatollah Sahabi. Hoda Saber was a member of a small nationalist, religious movement led by Ezatollah Sahabi. After having served several jail terms since 2000, Hoda Saber was arrested in the aftermath of the disputed June 2009 re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
