Culture Minister Helmy Namnam will attend a ceremony on Sunday marking the 125th anniversary of establishing Dar El Maaref publishing house.

During the ceremony, A museum of Shafiq Metri – a Lebanese national who set up Dar El Maaref – will be inaugurated as well as Zayyed Center for electronic publication.

A film documenting the history of Dar El Maaref will be screened during the ceremony.

Lebanese Ambassador in Cairo Khaled Zeyada will attend the event along with Ahmed Shabib Al Dhahiri, the Director-General of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation.

Delegations from the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia will also attend the ceremony alongside key Egyptian writers and intellectuals.
