Another earthquake has struck near Ecuador. The magnitude 6.2 quake has struck off the coast of the South American country, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. The quake was centred 70km west-southwest of Esmeraldas at a shallow depth of 10km.

It comes just three days after a powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Ecuador's Pacific coast in a zone popular with tourists, 480 people are known to have died, the government said on Tuesday
