The social solidarity directorates started to disburse compensations to the injured of Palm Sunday church attacks through ad-hoc committees, said Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali on Tuesday.

As many as EGP 1.320 million have been disbursed to the 33 victims of Tanta and Alexandria church bombings, the minister said in statements to MENA.

While the 21 victims of Tanta's Mar Gerges church attack received EGP 40,000 each, the same amount has been paid to the 12 victims of Alexandria's Saint Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral.

Each victim who has been hospitalized for more than 72 hours got EGP 40,000, Wali added.
