Chairman of the parliamentary religious committee Osama el Abd

Chairman of the parliamentary religious committee Osama el Abd deplored Friday's terrorist attack on a security checkpoint in Giza's el Badrasheen as falling within the framework of a war against Egypt launched by those adopting extremist thought.

In a statement on Saturday, el Abd said those adopting extremist thought have nothing to do with Islam which bans killing and acts of sabotage.

He called on the international community to take firm action against extremists.

He also called for rallying regional and international efforts to crush terrorism.

He offered condolences to the families of the victims.
