Law enforcement forces of the Second Field Army on Saturday foiled a terror attack by takfiri elements against a security checkpoint in Arish, Military Spokesman Colonel Tamer el Refaee said.

The army-clad terrorists were wearing explosive belts and holding hand grenades and firearms, the spokesman said, adding that they were spotted while trying to infiltrate to the checkpoint.

The terrorists were killed after their explosive belts went off, Colonel Refaee said in a statement.
