48 killed, injured in tribal clashes in West Kurdufan

Thirty-eight persons were killed and 10 others injured in tribal clashes in West Kurdufan province in central Sudan.

"Almeghar Alsyasy" newspaper quoted Governor of West Kurdufan province Abu Kassem Baraka as saying that an emergency state was declared in the tribal conflict zone.

Security reinforcements were dispatched to the area to control the situation and prevent the renewal of clashes, he added.
