The Russia international has found first-team football hard to come by this season, making just five Premier League appearances and is believed to be signing for Lokomotiv for a fee in the region of £7.5 million.Pavlyuchenko had been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane for much of the January transfer window and reports intensified recently when it was reported the striker had been involved in a training ground bust-up with Spurs coach Kevin Bond. However, the former Spartak Moscow man’s agent dismissed those rumours and suggested a move away from Spurs before the transfer window closed was very unlikely. However, with the Russian transfer window open until late February, there is has been no need for a rush and the forward now has time to agree personal terms.Pavlyuchenko signed for Spurs in 2008 for a reported fee of around £14m but failed to make a telling impact in the Premier League, managing 20 goals in 78 matches. In a brief statement on the Tottenham website, the club said: “We have reached agreement for the transfer of Roman Pavlyuchenko to Lokomotiv Moscow.“The striker joined us from Spartak Moscow in August 2008 and went on to score 42 goals in 113 appearances.“We thank Roman for his contribution and wish him every success for the future.”
