Tim Tebow, brought in as a backup to starting quarterback Mark Sanchez, received star treatment Monday when introduced by the New York Jets. The New York Daily News reported there were 80 media members and 32 television cameras when Tebow, acquired in a trade with Denver last week, made his first appearance as a Jet. Tebow, dressed in suit and tie, said the \"guys upstairs\" were responsible for the high-profile introduction. \"I have bosses, too,\" Tebow said. Media circus aside, Tebow said he was looking forward to being on the same team with Sanchez. \"I think our quarterback room will be a lot of fun,\" he said. Tebow spent two seasons with the Broncos, leading them into the playoffs in January. He became expendable after Denver obtained free-agent star Peyton Manning. \"It was a special season,\" Tebow said. \"I want to thank the Broncos and their fans for my time there.\" Known for his public expressions of his Christian faith, Tebow thanked his \"Lord Savior and Jesus Christ\" several times, yet downplayed fans\' reaction to his pre-game spiritual preparations. \"I\'m not the first athlete to get on a knee and pray,\" Tebow said. \"God bless,\" he said at the end of his 30-minute news conference.
