The Belgium international has been linked with a host of sides across Europe, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid, while Sir Alex Ferguson was spotted in the stands on Saturday as the forward featured in Lille\'s defeat at Lyon. Redknapp has since publicly confirmed Tottenham\'s interest in the 21-year-old but admits the club\'s chairman, Daniel Levy, will handle any transfer negotiations. \"I don’t know. I like him, he’s a fantastic player but I don’t know where the club’s at with that,\" Redknapp told reporters. \"The chairman will deal with that. Daniel [Levy], if anyone’s talking to Lille it will be the chairman, not me. He’s a player that obviously I watched him an awful lot and he’s a real talent but only the chairman would know where we are with actually getting the player. \"I wouldn’t have a clue whether we’re close, a million miles away or anything else at the moment.\" Three straight defeats in the Premier League has put Tottenham\'s chances of securing an automatic Champions League place in jeopardy as Arsenal, who sit in fourth, have closed the gap to one point. Redknapp has rejected suggestions that any potential deal involving Tottenham and Hazard hinges on whether his side can secure Champions League football, believing wages and the club\'s location also play a significant factor. \"For sure, they want Champions League football, don’t they? But it doesn’t mean top players won’t go to Chelsea if they don’t make Champions League. It don’t mean top players won’t go to Arsenal if they don’t make Champions League,\" Redknapp said. \"They still go there because they’re going to a big club in London, a big club in England and they get the wages they want so they still go. \"People ain’t going to go ‘I’m not going to Chelsea if they don’t make Champions League’ - they know Chelsea will invest again next year and will make Champions League. \"Tottenham will keep trying to make Champions League, so will Arsenal, so I don’t think it works that way - I think people get carried away with that one.\"
