Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah Friday toured and inspected sports stadiums in Incheon city, South Korea, in preparation for the 17th Asian games, to be held in 2014.Sheikh Ahmad toured the city of Incheon, accompanied by officials of the city and members of the organizing committee, tasked with developing stadiums for the games, the OCA said in a press statement.The tour included a visit to the main stadium for Asian games, named\" Bird\'s eye view,\" and surrounding facilities.During the tour, Sheikh Ahmad listened to detailed explanation on development and schedules of the games, as well as establishment of the \"Bird\'s eye view\" stadium.Sheikh Ahmad praised the organizing committee for the effort and short time given to complete construction work, the statement noted.Incheon city has developed modern facilities and infrastructures that will benefit the Korean and Asian youths in sports, as well as contributing in enhancing sports, financially and economically in the city, he said.Sheikh Ahmad affirmed support for cities that host various Asian Games, based on the principle of partnership to achieve the objectives of the Council in the development of youth and sports sector in the Asian region.The \"Bird\'s eye view\" stadium, scheduled to open in April 2014, consists of five floors. Its construction is proejcted to cost USD 500,000.
