Inter defender Yuto Nagatomo has expressed his satisfaction with his performance after making his return from injury in his side’s 1-1 draw with Turkish side Trabzonspor in their Champions League clash on Tuesday. Nagatomo had been sidelined since late October after suffering a calf injury during a training session and marked his return to first-team action with a solid 90-minute shift, admitting that he felt comfortable fitting straight back into the squad.\"I felt at ease and pleased to be back helping out my team-mates,” Nagatomo told the club’s official website. “I was slightly concerned about my fitness, but I wanted to repay [coach Claudio] Ranieri for having faith in me and I played more than I thought I could have.” The draw sees Inter progress to the knockout stage of the competition and the Japan international believes there is still room for improvement in the squad. “Are we completely satisfied with the result? Not exactly, because we always want to improve and get results,” he said. \"It was important for us to qualify ahead of time. I\'m happy we played well, especially in the first half, although we suffered a bit from tiredness in the second.\"
