Zamalek star Ahmad Hossam ‘Mido’ revealed on Wednesday that he ended his problems with the team’s new coach Hassan Shehata. Reports suggested that Mido might leave Zamalek following the appointment of Shehata in the early hours of Wednesday, given their frosty relationship. ‘’There is no problem with Shehata now. I told him in a phone call today that I’m a professional player who is well aware of his rights and responsibilities,” Mido said in a television interview. “We agreed that he would work together in the best interests of the club.”   The problems between Mido and Shehata date back to the 2006 African Cup of Nations when they were involved in a touchline row after the towering frontman was substituted during the semi-final win over Senegal.   Mido, who consequently missed the final against Ivory Coast, was later handed a six-month ban.     Their feud resurfaced four years later when Shehata named Mido in Egypt’s preliminary squad for the 2010 Nations Cup, only to exclude him from the final roster, citing his fitness problems. The former Ajax forward heavily criticized Shehata afterwards and said he would never play with the Pharaohs under his guidance. From ahramonline .
