The Ivory Coast has been appointed to host the men's African Baskteball Championship Afrobasket in, 2013 announced FIBA Afrique. The national federations of Tunisia, Rwanda and the Ivory Coast were bidding to host the event in 2013. The last championship was held in Madagascar last August and won by Tunisia after it beat at final Angola (67-56), which allowed it to qualify for the Olympics of 2012.
