Moscow - Ria novosti
Hungarian international striker Tamas Priskin has joined Russian second-tier team Alania Vladikavkaz after being released by English side Ipswich Town. Priskin scored the only goal in Ipswich’s 1-0 League Cup semifinal first leg win over Arsenal in January 2011, and spent a season in the Premier League with Watford. During six years in England, Priskin also played for Preston North End, Queens Park Rangers, Swansea City and Derby County. Alania said Wednesday that Priskin had signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the 1995 Russian champions, who are currently top of Russia’s second division, after a trial with the team in Turkey during the winter break. Priskin left Ipswich by mutual consent last month after reportedly falling out with manager Paul Jewell. He has 38 caps for Hungary, scoring 11 goals.
