Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Saturday that he is ready to meet with representatives of Hamas movement to implement the national reconciliation and end division.
This came during Abbas' meeting with representatives of local and Arab media outlets working in Palestine.
He also reiterated the importance of forming a national unity government in which all fractions including Hamas will participate as well as holding general elections after three months.
The president also pointed out at Palestinians' suffering in the Gaza Strip after Israeli besiege and Hamas rejection to all initiatives put out to solve crossings crisis.
Abbas also asserts all Palestinian factions' support to peaceful popular protests, adding that security authorities protect the country and Palestinians.
He also uncovered Palestinian political and diplomatic efforts that aim to hold an international conference to reach mechanisms to solve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
The conference will be supported by Arab countries and in coordination with France.
He also pointed out that the Palestinian leadership, and after talks with Arab foreign ministers' committee. Will reach for the United Nations Security Council in order to call for halting Israeli settlement.
