Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi press conference here with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Visiting Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Friday asserted that Egypt is moving ahead towards a better future for its people.

At a joint press conference here with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, president Sisi added that Egypt is looking forward to enhancing joint cooperation with India in several domains.

The joint press conference comes after a session of talks between both sides.

Sisi asserted that his talks in India confirmed the depth of relations between both sides and that viewpoints over most of regional and international issues are identical.

Despite a change in the international situation and balance of powers, Egyptian-Indian joint efforts are maintained out of their keenness on boosting bilateral relations along with cooperation for reaching solutions to various international issues, said the Egyptian president.

The big joint challenges, starting with terrorism and extremism and ending with the climate change and providing sustainable energy for the coming generations, are elements that lead to push forward joint cooperation, added the president.

Talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed that the two sides are keen on boosting joint cooperation in several domains, he added.

The president said he issued directives to the Egyptian government for upgrading an integrated plan for enhancing trade and economic cooperation with India along with boosting joint military and security cooperation.

These directives also included boosting cultural cooperation at the governmental and popular levels together with enhancing scientific and technological cooperation, added the president.
