"Arbeloa, Marcelo and Kaka have been ruled out because of injuries," read a statement on the Madrid website published on Tuesday. Arbeloa and Kaka both missed training on Monday. Spanish right-back Arbeloa has a problem with his left thigh, while Brazilian attacking midfielder Kaka has been sidelined by a muscle injury in his right leg. The club revealed on Tuesday that Kaka's compatriot Marcelo has injured a muscle in his left thigh. Portuguese centre-back Ricardo Carvalho, who was been plagued by back problems for a month, was also not included in the squad. Real, who thrashed Lyon 4-0 in Madrid in their previous outing, top Group D with nine points after three games and will secure a place in the last 16 with victory over Remi Garde's side.
