Third-seeded Sorana Cirstea led a 5-0 day for seeded players in Wednesday\'s second-round action at the Guangzhou International Women\'s Open in China. Cirstea had eight aces and won more than two-thirds of the points on serve in a 6-1, 7-6 (7-0) win over Duan Ying-Ying. Cirstea had three breaks of Duan\'s serve while losing her own serve just once. The other four seeded women on Wednesday\'s schedule also advanced to the tournament quarterfinals. No. 4-seeded Urszula Radwanska ran past Mandy Minella 6-2, 6-3 while fifth-seeded Chanelle Scheepers stopped Bojana Jovanovski 6-4, 6-1. Radwanska and Scheepers will meet in the quarterfinals. Seventh-seeded Peng Shuai didn\'t face a break point in a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Nudnida Luangnam and eighth-seeded Alize Cornet advanced to a quarterfinal pairing against Cirstea when Olga Govortsova retired due to illness. Cornet won the first set 6-4 and Govortsova was unable to come out for the second set. Also Wednesday, Hsieh Su-Wei needed less than an hour to defeat Chang Kai-Chen 6-0, 6-3.
