Malaysia's badminton association says a second sample taken from one of its leading players has tested positive for a banned substance.
Deputy chairman of the association Mohamad Norza Zakaria refused to identify the player until all the legal processes associated with the case have been completed, AP reported.
He told media Saturday that the player has been temporarily suspended and that the association believed him to be innocent.
The player tested positive for the banned substance dexamethasone during a random test at the world championships in August.
Mohamad said a test on the B sample was carried out in Oslo, Norway, on Nov. 5 and it also came out positive.
